Twenty-five years
of integration.

From a single-room operation in the late 1990s to a multi-discipline technology holding company spanning Nebraska, Iowa, and the broader Midwest — Midwest Integrated Technologies has been integrating technology into the built environment since 1998. Security. Surveillance. Access control. Audiovisual. Digital display. Distribution. Construction technology. A quarter century of building systems that work, for clients who depend on them.

Company History

How we got here.

The story of Midwest Integrated Technologies is, in many respects, the story of the technology integration industry itself — built from the ground up, shaped by world events, and sharpened by two decades of market evolution into one of the region's most capable enterprise technology operations.

1998 – 2001
Founded — Full-Service Technology Integration
Established in Iowa as a PC and network hardware service company, with parallel operations in sound, lighting, and production — audiovisual integration, multi-media installation, and event production technology. The founding team brought broadcast and video production experience to every installation. A company built on the premise that technology should be implemented to its full potential, not its minimum specification.
2001 – 2015
The Security Pivot — All Things Low Voltage
September 2001 changed the calculus for security technology across the country. For Midwest Integrated Technologies, it accelerated a shift already in motion. The company’s background in video and broadcast production translated naturally into the surveillance and physical security space — camera systems, access control, network infrastructure, and monitoring. Through 2015 the company operated as a full all-things low-voltage and network support integrator across Nebraska and Iowa.
2015 – 2019
Enterprise Security — The Discipline Narrows
Enterprise security and access control increasingly commanded the stage. Distribution, digital display, and control systems deepened as a parallel discipline. Specialty enterprise technology — including drone integration and counter-intelligence applications — began to define the company’s upper-market positioning. The breadth of the low-voltage generalist gave way to the precision of the enterprise security specialist.
2019 – Present
AI-Powered Integration — Holding Company
The current era is defined by AI-powered surveillance, NDAA-compliant hardware, license plate recognition, facial recognition access control, and off-grid solar/cellular deployment for commercial, agricultural, and government clients across Nebraska, Iowa, and the I-80 corridor. Midwest Integrated Technologies operates today as a holding company — its disciplines organized under operating brands, its standard of work unchanged from 1998.
